Why is a shared inbox a good idea?

Shared inboxes are useful for email accounts that are not tied to individuals, but have a universal address and are handled by a team. A typical example of this are email accounts dedicated to customer service, i.e., support@ or help@, among others. It may also be useful to set up this type of universal address for internal issues that involve multiple people. However, the address alone is not the solution. After all, as soon as several people are responsible for the emails, you need a tool with which the emails and the tasks associated with them can be clearly distributed within the group and which makes the distribution of tasks visible to everyone - otherwise there is a risk that emails will be processed twice. That's why there are so-called shared inbox software or team inbox tools - such as Zoho TeamInbox.
