The abundance of features and user-friendliness have earned it an average rating of 8.9 out of 10. Let’s take a quick look at the most important features!
Inventory Management
With Zoho Inventory, you can track your stock in real time, from orders to deliveries. The system automatically updates your inventory with each sale or goods receipt. It even alerts you when stock levels are low, helping you ensure that critical items don’t run out.
Warehouse management
Depending on the plan, Zoho Inventory allows you to manage multiple warehouses, keep track of inventory, and optimize stock levels by transferring items between locations. You can also monitor the stock of each warehouse individually. And all of this happens in real time! Sales, purchases, and transfers are displayed on a dashboard, providing automatic updates on overstocks or stock shortages.
At the same time, Zoho Inventory also offers comprehensive product management, allowing you to add detailed descriptions for each item, categorize products, and assign attributes such as weight, dimensions, and SKU.
Zoho Inventory also offers batch and serial number tracking for effective inventory management, ensuring quality assurance or supporting recall purposes. The expiration date for batch-based products can be easily and quickly recorded.
Whether you have one or multiple warehouses, stock levels can be manually adjusted at any time in the event of shortages, losses, or surpluses. Every change is logged for a complete record, with reasons for the adjustments documented.
Speaking of documentation, Zoho Inventory supports various common valuation methods, such as FIFO and LIFO, for inventory valuation. It tracks the cost per item for financial reporting and also generates detailed reports on product and warehouse performance.
Multi-channel sales
Zoho Inventory seamlessly integrates with marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy for multi-channel sales. Inventory is synchronized, ensuring that both sales and stock data are always up to date. Popular e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce are also supported, allowing you to manage products, categories, and prices directly from Zoho Inventory.
The platform allows you to view all orders from various channels directly in the dashboard, enabling automatic creation of invoices, delivery notes, and orders. Returns and exchanges can also be managed consistently through Zoho Inventory.
When it comes to shipping, you can easily integrate services like DHL, UPS, FedEx, or even local providers. The software automatically calculates shipping costs, processes shipments, and handles tracking and status notifications.
Invoicing
Automatic is the key word when it comes to invoicing in Zoho Inventory. Invoices are generated directly from sales or purchase orders. You can easily customize the invoice layout and add your logo or branding. If accountants are thinking of a big “BUT,” don’t worry: Zoho Inventory also supports tax calculations and VAT compliance. It accounts for different tax systems and regional taxes, and you can adjust tax rates at any time.
The entire invoicing process can be fully automated using rules, such as those for online store purchases, regardless of the country in which they are made. Zoho Inventory creates invoices in multiple currencies and automatically converts the currency based on the current exchange rate.
Payment tracking
Just like your orders, you can track the status of each invoice at any time and see whether they are outstanding, paid, or overdue. You can also enable real-time notifications for incoming payments or overdue invoices and maintain a detailed log of interactions with customers.
Reports and analytics
The accounting department, tax office, and management all appreciate them: Reports and analyses! And Zoho Inventory offers plenty of them: Sales, purchasing, inventory, and order management reports provide purchasing, sales, and marketing teams with an ideal foundation for conducting comprehensive analyses and integrating them into business decisions. Tax and financial reports for valuation and year-end statements can be downloaded for controlling purposes. Additionally, reports can be customized at any time to meet specific needs, or you can set up automated report generation to receive the required reports at the start of each month.
